The best things I've done so far in mid-life are: 1) quitting a toxic job and pursuing a freelance career (which includes my Substack!) and 2) joining a swim training club to improve my fitness and possibly be able to re-cert my swim instructor certifications in the future! Yay, 46!
Today is my 49th birthday and by far the best thing I've done for myself is taking boxing classes!! It's a workout for my body and mind!
