My mother had a hysterectomy at 24 and so, we never had the menopause conversation. When I started going through peri at 34, my doctor didn't believe me. Nor the others I went to. Turns out PCOS makes a mess of your bloodwork. I'm 52 and haven't had a period since I was 45 and even now, it's difficult to get answers when I know I'm still having odd meno symptoms.
